Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. She has a father who is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as the mother of her is English. She was born in an estate in South London council estate and at the age of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the academy, she appeared in numerous performances on stage, such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career in the film Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Following that success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside as Ollie. In 2008 she landed Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe made an appearance in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. The credits she has in her theatre work include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show aired on The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the two previous seasons, would be leaving the show with a guest appearance on the first episode of the season's new episode. In the TV series Salem in 2014, she portrayed Tituba in 2014 through 2016. Madekwe married her long-time lover, Iddo. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty together with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. The four brothers of Ashley, all very active, took part in hockey during the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. When she was two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. In addition, she won the top awards for soloists in every major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
