Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18th, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey. Latifah was the second child born to Lance and Rita Owens. She is most famous for her social involvement, acting skills and her ability to rhyme. When she was just 8 years old, old an Muslim friend gave her the name Latifah which means "delicate and sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah was a singer in the choir of the Shiloh Baptist Church located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She had her debut public performance in which she sang "Home" as one of two Dorothys in a production of The Wizard of Oz. Latifah's mother was the catalyst as she was always in contact with the students and the music. She invited Mark James, a local disc jockey, dubbed D.J. Mark the 45 King to perform at a school dance.
